GRAMMY® Award-winning artist Eric Bellinger is one the verge of dropping his highly anticipated album ‘It’ll All Make Sense Later’ via All Wins Ent/FTS Global Management. The album, crafted in Cape Town, South Africa and inspired by Africa’s rich sounds, has a bold fusion of R&B, Afrobeats, and Amapiano. Featuring collaborations with some of Africa’s biggest stars, the project includes Ghanaian R&B/Afro-Fusion singer Gyakie, as well as Nigerian acts: GRAMMY® Award-winner Burna Boy, Reekado Banks, Oxlade, Tempoe and Taves.
Eric opened up about the creative and spiritual journey behind the making of his new album, “I traveled to South Africa to create this album and it was one of my greatest experiences in making music. This album is a form of liberation for me. I see it as a Faith Walk—believing that what God has waiting for me on the other side is far greater than what presents itself in the present moment. It’s given me the confidence to move forward, trusting fully in the vision, knowing It’ll All Make Sense Later,” adding, “I hope this album will inspire my fans.”
Along with the album, Eric has released “Shooting Star”—a new single featuring “Kulosa” hitmaker Oxlade already generating a buzz. The track serenading a lover blends Afrobeats and R&B with an infectious laid back beat. “We’re both artists that love to experiment and bring our cultures together,” Eric says of working with Oxlade. “This track is also about reaching for the stars and going after what you want—it’s all about triumph.”
The album’s first singles—”Feelings Never Die” and “Special” both tap into Afrobeats, setting the tone for this exciting new era in Eric’s music. “Feelings Never Die” is a deeply emotional track about heartbreak and resilience, while “Special”, featuring Jamaican artist Konshens, offers a smooth blend of R&B, Dancehall and Afrobeats, adding depth to Eric’s evolving sound. He describes the album as an evolution in his sound, “I let go of what I thought the standard should be for my songs and I let the music lead the way. With the last album being ‘The Rebirth’—I leaned into that and trusted the shift in my entire life.”
With ‘It’ll All Make Sense Later’, Eric Bellinger continues to push boundaries and explore new sonic territories. The album features a rich tapestry of Amapiano and Afro-influenced tracks, alongside the R&B smoothness that fans have come to know and love from him. The album’s African features give fans a glimpse into Eric’s growth as a global artist, bridging continents and blending genres in a way that feels both innovative and authentic. In fact, this experience has left Eric charged to return to the continent in January 2025, with plans to continue fostering cross-cultural collaborations and creative exchanges.
With over 300 songs and 40 albums to his name, Eric has solidified his place in the music industry as a multi-faceted artist and music executive. His career has included collaborations with major artists like Usher, Justin Bieber, Chris Brown and Ne-Yo, as well as chart-topping singles like “G.O.A.T” featuring Wale and “Type a Way” featuring Chris Brown and OG Parker. He has also written and produced for global stars, including Chris Brown (“Indigo”, “New Flame”, “Champion”), Teyana Taylor (“69”, “How You Want It” feat. King Combs) and Usher (“Lemme See” feat. Rick Ross).
Reflecting on the creation of ‘It’ll All Make Sense Later’, Eric sums up, “This project is a reflection of my journey, both personally and artistically. I want people to see me and know that I took a chance on something bigger than myself—something beyond what I thought was possible. I trusted my instinct and attached feet to my faith. If I can do it, you can too—whatever your calling or dream may be. There’s so much happening in the world right now, and I see this album as a soundtrack to the joy and positivity that life has to offer. I want this album to make my fans happy. I want it to make people smile.”
