A powerful and dynamic midfielder with Springbok credentials has put pen to paper on a deal with Top 14 outfit Bordeaux-Begles from next season.
Rohan Janse van Rensburg, who played his one and only Test in 2016, was officially announced as a new signing for the French club on Friday afternoon.
He joins compatriot Carlu Sadie and fellow former Sharks centre Ben Tapuai, along with new recruits, Ireland flyhalf Joey Carbery and Oyonnax winger Enzo Reybier under Yannik Bru at Les Girondins.

Janse van Rensburg was previously heavily linked with a move to Bordeaux before linking up with Japanese Division One side Canon Eagles after just one-and-a-half seasons with the Sharks.
The 29-year-old was a big-name signing for the Durbanites from the Sale Sharks in 2022 and started 14 games in his first season, but made just three starts in the 2023-24 campaign as he struggled for form and consistency.
