L-Tido Calls For All-SA Hip Hop Lineup At J. Cole’s FNB Stadium Show. South Africa is gearing up for a monumental night in music as hip hop heavyweight J. Cole prepares to headline The Fall-Off Tour at FNB Stadium on December 12, 2026.

The concert will mark his first performance in the country in nearly a decade and his first-ever stadium headline show worldwide. With the iconic 94,000-capacity venue set to host the grand finale of his global run, the event is already being hailed as a landmark moment for fans across the continent.

The date was confirmed by Big Concerts in partnership with Mastercard, which is offering early ticket access to cardholders. Johannesburg will close out a tour that has spanned North America, Europe, the United Kingdom, Australia, and New Zealand. Fresh off the release of his seventh studio album, The Fall Off, Cole is expected to deliver a commanding performance packed with introspective storytelling and sharp lyricism to what could become one of the largest crowds of his career.

Yet as excitement builds around the headliner, local hip hop circles are turning their attention to the supporting lineup.

Veteran rapper L-Tido sparked an intense online debate after taking to X with a clear message for promoters. He called for a fully hip-hop undercard that showcases South Africa’s finest, arguing that the moment calls for strong local representation.

Among the names he proposed were Nasty C, A-Reece, Stogie T, and Shane Eagle. “Can we please have a all hip hop line up for the Cole FNB concert Nasty C, Reece Stogie, Shane Eagle,” L-Tido wrote.

The suggestion quickly gathered momentum, with fans praising the idea of uniting some of the country’s most respected lyricists on one of the biggest stages possible.

Having these artists at the concert would create a powerful celebration of hip hop culture, blending global influence with homegrown excellence. Nasty C continues to stand as one of South Africa’s most internationally recognised rap exports. A-Reece commands a fiercely loyal following through his independent grind and reflective lyricism. Stogie T brings veteran credibility and thoughtful depth, while Shane Eagle offers versatility and a new generation edge.

For many, the conversation is about more than just a concert. It reflects an ongoing push to ensure that major international events amplify local voices rather than sideline them. An all South African hip hop undercard, fans argue, would honour the cultural weight of the occasion and highlight the country’s growing influence in the global rap landscape.

No official support acts have been announced for the FNB Stadium show, leaving room for speculation and continued campaigning from fans online. With tickets already on sale and demand expected to soar, the pressure is mounting for a lineup that matches the scale of the historic night.
