In a message following an important meeting, the Alexandra-born artist, real name Thato Madonsela, expressed deep gratitude for the platform’s growth and the fans who have supported him every step of the way.

“Yoh, I just came from a meeting, and it made me realise how blessed I am to be making a living from something that I’m passionate about,” L-Tido said. “I wanna thank God, I wanna thank you guys for supporting.”

He also revealed impressive performance figures for The L-Tido Podcast, which features candid interviews with some of South Africa’s biggest names in music, entertainment, and culture. “I was checking analytics, we’re averaging like 230K per episode,” he shared, highlighting the show’s strong appeal.

The podcast has now officially reached its three-year mark, a notable achievement for the independent project that L-Tido created to deliver authentic conversations. It is available on Spotify, YouTube through his L-Tido Network channel with over 224K subscribers, and Apple Podcasts. The show has featured guests such as Nasty C, Da L.E.S, Priddy Ugly, and Bontle, helping build a dedicated and loyal audience.

L-Tido made a point of acknowledging the tangible impact of his supporters. “Thank you to everybody who has been supporting me. I don’t take it for granted. You’re putting shelter, you’re feeding my kid,” he said, showing how listener engagement translates directly into family-sustaining income.

Looking ahead, the rapper-turned-podcaster teased bigger ambitions under the L-Tido Podcast Network brand. “We’ve got so much in store that’s coming with the L-Tido Podcast Network. So, prepare yourself, we’re about to take off, baby!”

His announcement comes as South African podcasting experiences a surge, with creators using YouTube and streaming platforms to reach wide audiences through authentic, homegrown content. L-Tido’s milestone reflects his personal passion as well as the growing role of digital media in allowing artists to diversify beyond music and connect directly with fans.

As the network prepares for its next phase, supporters can expect new programming and exciting collaborations. For now, L-Tido’s words stand as a reminder of gratitude in an industry where sustainability often relies on the support of the community.
