Loatinover Pounds Celebrates Surprise Cameos At Milk + Cookies Festival. The Nasrec Expo Centre came alive as a sea of sound, style, and pure energy when the second edition of the Milk + Cookies Festival touched down in Johannesburg. What unfolded was not just a music event, but a full-blown cultural takeover where global heat met local soul.

Headlined by international trap heavyweight Gunna, the festival delivered a genre-blending feast of amapiano, hip-hop, R&B, and house, all wrapped in good food, creative pop-ups, and electric crowd energy. Yet, for many in attendance, the night truly peaked when Pretoria’s own Loatinover Pounds stormed the stage in unexpected, show-stealing appearances.
After Cape Town set the tone on January 3, Joburg picked up the baton on January 10 and sprinted with it. From high-octane performances to packed food stalls and immersive activations, the festival had no dull moments. Still, it was the surprise link-ups that sent the crowd into a frenzy and reminded everyone why live music hits different.
Loatinover Pounds captured the spirit of the night in a heartfelt post, thanking DJ Speedsta and Uncle Partytime for pulling him out at Milk + Cookies. “Big Love to @speedstabro & @uncle_partytime for bringing out at @milkcookiesfest,” wrote Loatinover Pounds.
The clips that followed told their own story: roaring crowds, flashing lights, and a rapper fully locked in. Timelines lit up as fans replayed the madness and soaked in the moment all over again.
The first eruption came when DJ Speedsta summoned Loatinover Pounds to the main stage. The reaction was instant and deafening. Bars flew, hands shot into the air, and the venue moved as one. Moments later, Uncle Partytime doubled down on the excitement, bringing Loatinover onto the Extreme Stage, where he delivered another dose of raw lyricism and commanding presence. Videos making the rounds online show the crowd chanting word for word as Loat delivered with his trademark intensity.
Fans left with stories to tell. One festival-goer called it their favourite moment, saying the sight of Loatinover Pounds, 25K and Frank Casino tearing up the main stage with Speedsta was pure culture. Another summed it all up in one word: a “Mazza”.
For Loatinover Pounds, the guest appearances felt symbolic. Known for his sharp pen and unapologetic Pretoria swagger, he has been steadily carving his name into the fabric of SA hip-hop. Being pulled onto a stage by two respected tastemakers, at a festival celebrating both international stars and local greatness, felt like a powerful nod to his journey and impact.
