Nicolas Jackson’s future at Bayern Munich has taken a dramatic turn, with the striker’s buy-out clause facing a major turnaround having “hit rock bottom.
The €65 million obligation-to-buy clause has quickly transformed into one of the Bundesliga’s most unlikely transfers. Bayern initially believed Jackson could flourish in Germany, but the reality of his playing time and form has painted a very different picture along side with him competing with Harry Kane
The Senegalese forward has struggled to secure consistent minutes under Bayern’s current system, managing only limited starts since arriving from Chelsea. With the buy-out clause tied to a demanding requirement that Jackson must start 40 games for the obligation to activate his situation has shifted from challenging to near-impossible.
The player had to play 40 games between Bundesliga and Champions League either from the start or through at least 45 minutes. He has made 6 and only has a maximum of 33, and will be away at the AFCON with Senegal.
However, it is yet to be confirmed if Chelsea will keep Nicolas Jackson or find a new club for the player.
