During the Teargas era, the group produced a robust music catalogue that remains relevant to this day. Their contributions to the genre set a high standard and left an indelible mark on the South African music scene. However, Ntukza’s relevance in the South African music industry seems to have diminished, as he has not been active in producing top-notch music that resonates with the current Gen-Z audience.

Taking to Instagram, the veteran rapper expressed his frustration over the treatment he has received in the music industry, despite being the creative force behind some of Teargas’s greatest hits. Ntukza highlighted that he co-produced Teargas’s iconic track “Born for This” alongside Zyon from Liquideep.

“I Produced Teargas ‘Born for this’ alongside Zyon from Liquideep but the SA music industry treats me like I’m literally nothing,” he wrote.

Ntukza’s remarks shed light on the challenges faced by artists who have contributed significantly to the industry but feel unrecognized or undervalued in their careers.
