Nigerian rapper and songwriter Tochukwu Ojogwu, popularly known as Odumodublvck, has revealed one of the most memorable moments of his career so far, receiving a generous cash gift from Afrobeats superstar Wizkid.
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), the Blood on the Dance Floor crooner disclosed that Wizkid surprised him with $20,000 in cash. What made the gesture even more remarkable, he said, was that it came without strings attached.
According to Odumodublvck, the Ojuelegba hitmaker handed him the money despite not having recorded a verse for him. Overwhelmed by the kindness, he admitted he never imagined a day would come when Wizkid would make him this happy.
When a fan suggested that he must have recorded a verse in exchange for the gift, Odumodublvck playfully dismissed the claim with the words, “verse kor, verse ni,” before repeatedly expressing his excitement with multiple “arghhh” reactions.
As the post gained traction, another fan jokingly asked him to share some of the dollars he received. In response, Odumodublvck clarified that Wizkid was the one doing the giveaways, not him.
This is not the first time Wizkid has extended a hand of support to Odumodublvck. A few months ago, the rapper revealed how the Afrobeats star encouraged him during a difficult period when he was bedridden, a gesture he credited with helping boost his career.
