Producer Gvnt Shares Pride In Lowfeye’s Long-Awaited Debut Album NOSANGE. Lowfeye officially released his long-awaited debut album NOSANGE on March 27, 2026. The project, named after his late mother, arrives as a deeply personal body of work that blends sharp rap flows, warm Afrosoul elements, and reflective storytelling drawn from his upbringing.

The album builds on the momentum of his earlier EP Days Before NOSANGE and features an impressive lineup of collaborators, including Sjava, Danya Devs, LaCabra, Blue Pappi, Ciniso, and others. Tracks like Mission Man, Mabulala Amakhosi, and Trauma showcase Lowfeye‘s assertive delivery and emotional range, while the title track and overall theme lean into vulnerability and gratitude.
Speaking exclusively about the release, Gvnt, producer, DJ, and mixing engineer closely associated with the Qwellers collective, expressed pure joy and pride in his brother’s achievement.
“I am so happy for both of them, actually. LaCabra was also released. I am also proud of my brother, Lowfeye,” Gvnt shared. “He has been cooking this album since last year in the same crib. The whole time I was in the mixing process, to the end. So it is very good to have that body of work out there. I know he is happy, and I know it is an album for his late mother.”
Gvnt’s involvement runs deep. He was hands-on from the mixing stages through to completion, witnessing the album’s evolution in real time. His words highlight not just the technical grind but the emotional weight behind NOSANGE, a project born from loss, perseverance, and quiet determination in familiar surroundings.
The timing adds extra resonance to the moment. Fellow Qwellers affiliate LaCabra also dropped his project around the same period, creating a wave of fresh music from the tight-knit circle that has been steadily reshaping South African hip hop with raw energy and street-rooted authenticity. Fans have already spotted Lowfeye and LaCabra celebrating together at the NOSANGE album launch event at Carfax, greeted with warm energy by the Johannesburg scene.
For Lowfeye, NOSANGE represents more than a debut. It is a full circle milestone. Raised in Dundee and drawing from diverse cultural influences, the artist has steadily built his sound, moving from earlier projects like Mfana kaMakhulu and singles toward this cohesive statement. The album’s brisk runtime keeps the energy high while allowing space for introspection, a balance that resonates with listeners seeking both bars and heart.
As streams climb on platforms like Apple Music, Spotify, and YouTube, the South African hip hop community is taking note. Gvnt’s pride echoes what many are feeling. This is not just another release. It is a tribute made real, a body of work finally shared with the world, and proof that quiet cooking in the crib can yield something powerful.
