The Pumas, Boland Cavaliers and Griquas all recorded victories to stay unbeaten after two rounds of the SA Cup.
The defending champion Pumas beat Eastern Province 47-10 in Nelspruit on Friday night, while Griquas hammered the Valke 52-15 in Kempton Park on Saturday.
On Sunday, Boland beat the Griffons 56-23 in an ill-tempered affair in Wellington featuring eight yellow and three red cards.
There were also first wins for the SWD Eagles and Cheetahs. The men from Bloemfontein thrashed the Leopards 64-7 in Potchefstroom, while the Eagles overpowered Border 57-22 in East London.
Griquas sit top of the standings ahead of Boland and the Pumas based on a better points differential. All three teams are on 10 log points from two bonus-point wins.
SWD moved up to fourth on seven points, one ahead of the Cheetahs. The Griffons and Valke have five points each, four clear of EP, while Border and Leopards must still get off the mark this season.
SAFFAS ABROAD: Cheslin piles up points
The Pumas treated the Mbombela Stadium crowd to a commanding victory over Eastern Province.
EP held a surprise early 10-5 lead , but tries by Ntsika Fisanti and Sango Xamlashe just before half-time, both converted by Danrich Visagie, saw the Pumas ease into a 19-10 lead.
The Pumas turned on the style in the second stanza as Fisanti completed his hat‑trick, with further scores from Valentino Wellman and Darnell Osuagwu rounding off the win.
Griquas put on a clinical eight‑try display to sweep aside the Valke.
The match opened brightly for the Valke as Tylor Sefoor slotted a penalty goal in the opening minute, but from thereon it was all Griquas as Cameron Hufke, Tiaan Lange and Connor Mahoney all scored. With Liam Koen flawless off the tee in the opening stages, the visitors surged to a comfortable lead.
The Valke fought back to reduce the deficit to 21-10 at half-time but the floodgates opened in the second half, with Mahoney completing his hat‑trick, along with scores to Mnombo Zwelendaba, Marco de Witt and Lourens Oosthuizen. George Whitehead chipped in with four conversions to seal an emphatic triumph.

The Cheetahs delivered a commanding performance to overpower the Leopards at Olen Park.
The Free Staters surged into a 38-0 half-time lead, built on forward dominance and clinical finishing, before completing the rout in the second half.
The SWD Eagles closed out a lively clash in style, powering past the Border Bulldogs 57-22 at Hudson Park High.
Border trailed 26-22 at half-time but the SWD pack then took control, and Border lost their composure, racking up three yellow cards.

Boland delighted their home supporters with a commanding win over the Griffons.
Wing Xavier Mitchell ignited the afternoon with four superb tries, while Juan Mostert landed all seven of his conversions.
This weekend’s round three action will see the Cheetahs and Pumas clash on Friday in Bloem, while on Saturday Boland host the Valke, Griquas take on Border in Kimberley, and the Griffons entertain the Leopards in Welkom. The final clash of round three sees EP host SWD in Gqeberha.
