Tim Godfrey redefines gospel expression with new album ‘No Label’

Gospel powerhouse Tim Godfrey returns with a new body of work titled No Label, an album designed to bridge the gap between gospel and mainstream music. Scheduled for worldwide release on October 31st, there’s much more to No Label than being just an album, it’s a movement of faith, freedom, and fearless creativity.

At its essence, No Label challenges the notion that gospel music must fit a box. Tim Godfrey merges the spiritual depth of worship with the vibrant energy of Afrobeats, creating a sound that speaks both to believers and to a wider global audience. Each record on the project reflects his conviction that faith can live on any rhythm, and that praise is not bound by genre.

The album features dynamic collaborations with Afrobeats stars Oxlade and Spyro, showcasing a seamless blend of faith and culture. The spirit-charged Cho Cho Cho to the anthem Praise The Lord and the Oxlade-assisted single, Infinity, that opens with “Me I never see wetin God cannot do,” each track carries a message of divine consistency and gratitude.

Adding another layer of depth to the project is Masterkraft, whose production brings a fresh groove to Tim Godfrey’s gospel sound. His touch gives the album its balance, faith-driven yet rhythmically vibrant, bridging worship and Afrobeats with effortless synergy.

As the convener of the Fearless Gospel Concert, which has hosted icons like Kirk Franklin, Travis Greene, Marvin Sapp, and Israel Houghton, Tim Godfrey has spent years reshaping gospel music in Africa. With No Label, he expands that legacy, inviting the world to experience a new era where worship meets world sound, and the message of Christ meets the language of rhythm.
