In her words: “I think that we need more of us. I think there’s a lot of concern, like what are people going to think, what am I gonna look like? I’m a perfect example of getting here and being exactly yourself. You dont need to look like anybody else, you dont need to sound like anybody else. You can be 100% yourself. The part that you are scared of? Put that fear out of the window. There need to be more of us.”
Her response followed a direct question about what she would say to the “hidden” female MCs who have yet to make themselves public. For Zulu Mecca, the answer is rooted in self-definition. Authenticity is not a branding trick but a survival code, and the pathway into the culture still runs through self-belief, craft, and the courage to be seen.
