Taking to Instagram, 25K congratulated his fellow rapper on the project while expressing his appreciation for being part of its musical journey. The rapper contributed to the soundtrack through ‘Izinja’, also associated with the project as ‘Izinja 2.0’, alongside Sir Trill. The track was produced by Bigles for Real and curated by Zoocci Coke Dope.

“Honoured to be part of this project & contribute to the soundtrack. Always love & respect for my brother,” 25K wrote, before encouraging his followers to watch the film and stream the song.

The release of MZANSI marks a significant milestone for Maglera Doe Boy, who steps into the world of acting for the first time. Co-created with filmmaker Brian O’Haze, the two-part short film was shot across South Africa and Mozambique, bringing together elements of street culture, fashion, hip-hop, cultural diversity and forbidden romance.

At the centre of the story is Doe, a young hustler from Klerksdorp who builds a profitable underground import-export business that stretches across Southern Africa. With his trusted crew by his side, his operation begins to flourish, but the rewards of success come with their own complications. An unexpected love story further threatens to disrupt the world he has worked hard to build.

The film also brings together an impressive lineup of South African talent, with Maglera Doe Boy joined by 25K, Sir Trill, Young Stunna, Material Don Dada, Ason and others.

Released around November 2 and 3, 2026, Part 1 is available on Maglera’s YouTube channel, with ‘Izinja 2.0’ adding to the film’s musical identity.

For 25K and Maglera Doe Boy, the collaboration also speaks to a relationship built over time. The two rappers have previously joined forces on projects such as the Champion Music series with DJ Sliqe, making this latest contribution another chapter in their creative partnership.

Beyond the music, MZANSI offers an opportunity to experience Southern African street culture through a cinematic lens, with familiar faces from the local hip-hop scene helping bring its world to life. With 25K lending his voice to the soundtrack, the project further highlights the creative connections shaping the country’s entertainment landscape.
