The Vodacom Bulls have secured the long-term future of a Springbok hooker.
Johan Grobbelaar, who has been with the Bulls since 2017, was due to come off contract next year but has extended his deal until 2030.
Grobbelaar’s decision to remain in Pretoria comes at an interesting time, with the Bulls also attempting to sign fellow Bok hooker Malcolm Marx.
According to Rapport, negotiations between Marx and the Bulls have not yet been concluded.
The Bulls have room in their squad after the Sharks signed Junior Boks hooker Esethu Mnebelele.

Grobbelaar is regarded as one of the senior leaders in the Bulls squad and has earned 10 Springbok caps since making his Test debut in 2024.
The Pretoria-based club is also working to retain other Boks, with scrumhalf Embrose Papier and utility back Canan Moodie attracting interest from overseas teams.
