The departures of Leandro Trossard, Gabriel Martinelli and Gabriel Jesus have left Mikel Arteta with fewer proven attacking options. Arsenal’s attacking depth is a concern. Although Arsenal still have quality in the forward areas, losing three experienced attackers without bringing in sufficient replacements has weakened their depth. Last season, squad depth was one of Arsenal’s biggest strengths during their Premier League-winning campaign, as Arteta was able to rotate his forwards, manage fatigue, and cope with injuries without a significant drop in quality.
One injury could change everything for Arsenal
With the Premier League, Champions League and domestic competitions ahead, Arsenal will face a demanding schedule. An injury to Gyökeres or Havertz could leave Arteta with very limited options through the middle, while losing Bukayo Saka for a significant period would be another huge blow.
Arsenal have built a strong squad, but their transfer window has left them vulnerable in attack. If their key forwards remain fit, they should have enough quality to compete. However, one or two major injuries could expose the lack of attacking depth and seriously hurt their chances of defending the Premier League title.
