Reason Makes Public Plea To Kwesta For A Verse To Finalise His Album. South African hip-hop veteran Reason has revealed that his upcoming album is nearing completion, but there is still one major piece he wants before calling the project finished: a verse from Kwesta.

The rapper, also known as Sizwe Alakine, made the request publicly on Wednesday, taking to X to call on Kwesta to contribute to the project. “Someone please tell @KwestaDaKAR I need his verse to wrap this album ,” Reason wrote.

The post immediately caught the attention of hip-hop fans, with the rapper’s followers reacting to the possibility of another collaboration between two respected figures in South African rap.

Reason had already raised expectations around the project with an earlier teaser, confidently telling fans that the forthcoming album “is gonna be the best Reason album ever.”

His latest appeal for Kwesta’s verse added more anticipation as the project approaches the finish line. The two artists have crossed paths during their careers, making the prospect of another collaboration particularly interesting for listeners familiar with their contributions to South African hip-hop.

Reason has also explored different creative directions in recent years, including his Sizwe Alakine identity and work that incorporated amapiano and other South African sounds. His latest updates suggest a renewed focus on the Reason name and the sound associated with his rap career.

For now, it remains unclear whether Kwesta has recorded the requested verse. Reason’s public plea, however, has put the collaboration firmly on fans’ radar.

With the album reportedly close to completion, the next update could reveal whether Kwesta will provide the final contribution Reason says he needs to finish the project.
