Lucasraps Praises Nasty C As Speed Run Studio Sessions Bring SA Rappers Together. Lucasraps has applauded Nasty C for his latest creative venture, describing the rapper’s work during the second day of his Speed Run sessions as “incredible.”

The Durban-born artist shared his reaction on X, highlighting the energy and creativity behind the initiative. “God bless @Nasty_CSA fr! What he done today was incredible!
,” Lucasraps wrote, showing his appreciation for the Zulu Man’s efforts.
His post followed Day 2 of Nasty C’s Speed Run series, a studio concept built around timed recording sessions that challenge artists to select beats, write lyrics and record music against the clock. With limited time to work on each idea, the format encourages spontaneity and pushes participants to trust their instincts. Fans then get the opportunity to vote on demos they would like to hear officially released.
Lucasraps was among the artists who joined the latest session, with footage from the studio circulating across social media. His performance caught the attention of viewers, many of whom praised his delivery and ability to work under pressure. Reactions to the session also highlighted the chemistry between the artists and the excitement surrounding the concept.
Nasty C has continued to bring together artists from different parts of the South African music scene through the series. Previous sessions have featured Flvme, Tshego and Tellaman, while other artists associated with the wider lineup include The North Mob, Lowfeye, Wordz, Issi, LaCabra, Blue Pappi, Mashbeatz, Tony Dayimane, Kamo Mphela and Sir Trill.
The Speed Run concept draws on Nasty C’s own experience of creating music under tight deadlines, a process he previously explored while working on parts of his T’s & C’s Apply project. By opening up the experience to other artists and allowing fans to follow the creative process, he has turned the studio sessions into a shared experience that extends beyond the music itself.
The sessions have also brought a playful atmosphere into the studio, with artists exchanging jokes and participating in push-ups whenever someone slips up and swears. Beyond the entertainment, the format gives rappers an opportunity to experiment with different sounds, showcase their abilities and collaborate outside their usual circles.
Lucasraps’ public praise also reflects the musical connection between the two Durban artists, who have previously worked together on tracks such as “King Kai” and “The Views.” His reaction adds to the growing appreciation for Nasty C’s initiative and the creative environment it has created for participating artists.
