Coach Johan Ackermann says the Bulls need to create more opportunities for new signing Luan Giliomee to showcase his attacking ability.
The 20-year-old utility back joined the Pretoria-based club in early October after being granted an early release from his Sharks contract.
Giliomee was given time to settle into his new surroundings before making his Bulls debut at fullback in last Saturday’s 56-20 Investec Champions Cup win against Stade Français at Loftus.
The youngster played the full 80 minutes, as did fellow debutant Sango Xamlashe, who joined the Bulls from the Pumas after previously representing Griquas.
Both have retained their places in an unchanged backline for Saturday’s URC clash against Ulster at Loftus.

Ackermann was pleased with their contributions but believes Giliomee has much more to offer.
“Both can be satisfied with their first games,” he said. “Luan probably didn’t get as much opportunity as we wanted, so we have to create that opportunity for him to do something special, but he was consistent and there was nothing wrong. That’s why we backed him to play again.”
The Bulls coach was particularly impressed with Xamlashe’s involvement in one of his team’s eight tries against Stade Français.
“Sangu can also be very satisfied with his debut. He showed good things, and in one of our tries he made the turnover, the pass and the clean so that we could score. His actions were great.
“That’s why we backed him for another performance. As we said, if a player gets an opportunity, he needs to back it up.”
