Bantu Nots Shares Heartfelt Story Behind “B11NGO” Tape Ahead Of September Release. Bantu Nots is stepping into a bold new era with the announcement of his upcoming tape, B11NGO, a project he describes as “Girls radio” and one that carries the weight of his personal journey as much as his musical evolution.
The South African artist unveiled the project on Instagram, sharing a striking black-and-white cover alongside a deeply emotional message that revealed the sacrifices behind the music. For Bantu Nots, B11NGO represents far more than a collection of songs. It marks a complete transformation.
“This project cost me more than music. It cost me tears, a home and people I once called family,” he wrote. “I had to lose the old version of myself to become the artist I was meant to be.”
The heartfelt reflection gives fans a glimpse into the emotional battles that shaped the tape, positioning B11NGO as a symbol of resilience and rebirth rather than just another release.
The 16-track project, complete with a bonus song, is scheduled to arrive on September 3. Before then, listeners will get a taste of what’s to come through a carefully planned rollout. “Yenza” is set to drop on August 20, followed by the title track “B11NGO” on August 27.
Mixed and mastered by Sir.Ivani, the tape boasts an impressive lineup of collaborators. Among the highlights are “Luv” featuring Keeme, “2WIN” with Flow Jones Jr., and the star-studded “Diba Dance Remix,” which brings together Flow Jones Jr., Hemustbefabulous, Lacabra, Issi, Majorsteez, K Keed and Dee Koala.
The production credits are equally stacked, featuring Crisxs Blaq, Lostboywav, Sir.Ivani, Nodie A, Zen & Lucent, P8P, Navyocean, Dannynevamiss, and Bantu Nots himself, who co-produced the closing track with Sir.Ivani.
Wrapping up his announcement, Bantu Nots thanked everyone who played a role in bringing the project to life while signalling that a new chapter has officially begun.
With “Yenza” arriving later this month and the full tape landing in early September, B11NGO is shaping up to be one of Bantu Nots’ most personal releases yet. More than a musical project, it stands as the soundtrack to an artist who has embraced change, endured loss, and emerged with a renewed sense of purpose.
