Clout Cassette Drops A Bold Take On Cassper Nyovest: “Why Would I Want to Be Like You?” In a raw and unfiltered social media post that’s sending ripples through the South African hip-hop community, Morale, founder of Clout Cassette, aimed none other than Cassper Nyovest. Known for his candid and no-holds-barred style, Morale didn’t hold back in expressing his complex feelings about the megastar rapper.

With a mix of humour and harsh critique, Morale opened fire on Cassper, calling out what he perceives as a toxic pattern: using and disrespecting the youth, only to flip the narrative and claim they’re the ones exploiting him for promotion. “My nigga, why would I want to be like you… you act like a 12-year-old who just got gifted 50k,” Morale wrote, striking a tone that blends disbelief with mockery.

He went on to share his personal journey with Cassper’s music, revealing that despite the marketing genius everyone talks about, the music itself never quite clicked with him. “Bandile used to make me understand that you’re good at marketing, but I always used to tell him some of your music is horrible,” Morale confessed, hinting at a grudging respect mixed with honest criticism.

But it wasn’t all dissing. Morale highlighted the positive influence of Riky Rick, the one person he truly admires in the scene. “Richardo was the only guy who spent his money gambling on me, the only guy who put me on,” he said, emphasising the importance of genuine support in an industry often marked by politics and posturing.

Morale also reminded fans of his long history in the game, mentioning his early involvement in the iconic Abidoza Diamond Walk video shoot — a nod to his deep roots and insider knowledge. He hinted at controversial statements Cassper allegedly made about exploiting youth through his alcohol brand, though he stopped short of outright accusation without proof.

Perhaps the most striking moment came when Morale revealed that he once reached out to Cassper for mentorship — a move he now looks back on with some regret. “I was dizzy. The jig is up,” he admitted, signalling a turning point in his view of the superstar.

Ending on a pointed note, Morale said he deliberately kept quiet about certain things to avoid stirring drama with mutual acquaintances, but believes that Cassper’s true nature will eventually reveal itself to everyone.

This post adds yet another chapter to the ongoing conversations around Cassper Nyovest’s role and influence in South African music and culture, sparking debate among fans, artists, and critics alike.
