David Raya has reached another impressive milestone in his Arsenal career, setting a new Premier League record for the club after helping the Gunners secure a 1-0 victory over Aston Villa.
The Spanish goalkeeper kept his 50th Premier League clean sheet for Arsenal in just 109 starts, making him the fastest goalkeeper in the club’s history to reach the landmark. Raya’s achievement places him among the fastest goalkeepers ever to reach 50 clean sheets for a single Premier League club.
Only Petr Čech, Pepe Reina, Ederson and Peter Schmeichel reached the milestone in fewer starts, with Raya sitting fifth on the list. His latest clean sheet also continued Arsenal’s impressive defensive form.
The Gunners have kept eight Premier League clean sheets since the start of March, three more than any other team during that period. Raya has been a key part of Arsenal’s defensive strength since arriving from Brentford.
He also won the 2025/26 Premier League Golden Glove after recording 19 clean sheets, his third consecutive Golden Glove.
Raya’s record is also a reflection of his growing importance to Mikel Arteta’s side.
