Ivorian rap heavyweight Didi B and Nigerian superstar Davido team up on Party, a cross-border collaboration released through Sony Music Entertainment France. It’s a standout single from Didi B’s SHOGUN IN LAGOS project, and the title says it all: the record is built for nightlife.
Yung Alpha handles production, and the sound is big. Punchy basslines drive the track, fast-paced Afrosounds percussion keeps it moving, and celebratory horn riffs give it a festive lift. Together they create an instant club atmosphere that never lets up.
The collaboration works because each artist plays to their strengths. Davido delivers a high-octane hook that boosts the song’s commercial appeal, while Didi B brings sharp, rhythmic verses in French and Pidgin. The back-and-forth between them shows how naturally West Africa’s Francophone and Anglophone music scenes can meet.
With both artists commanding enormous streaming footprints, Party has the reach to match its ambition. It bridges Francophone rap grit and Afrobeats firepower, and it’s an easy fit for weekend festival playlists.
