Erasmus sheds light on crocked Siya

Rassie Erasmus has provided an update on Siya Kolisi’s latest injury setback after the Springbok skipper limped off early during Saturday’s narrow win in Argentina.

Kolisi was forced off after 24 minutes of the 17-10 victory over Los Pumas in Buenos Aires after injuring his other hamstring. He had only just returned from a previous hamstring niggle that ruled him out of the Nations Championship.

The flanker carried and tackled strongly before his early departure at Estadio José Amalfitani.

André Esterhuizen left the field 15 minutes before the final whistle due to an HIA, with no further details given on the inside centre’s condition.

“He injured his hamstring, the other hamstring, but it doesn’t look too bad,” Erasmus was quoted post-match.

“I thought Siya was really dynamic with his carries and his clean-outs,” the coach.
