Springbok hooker Joseph Dweba is still waiting for his first appearance of the season after missing the Exeter Chiefs’ opening two matches.
The 30-year-old sat out Exeter’s Premiership Rugby Cup victory against the Bristol Bears before being omitted again for their round-one Premiership defeat at Gloucester.
Dweba was a regular for the Chiefs last season, making 26 appearances across competitions and scoring five tries as Exeter reached the Premiership final.
However, director of rugby Rob Baxter has opted for veteran Jack Yeandle and youngster Louie Gulley in the opening weeks of the new campaign.

“Joseph’s fine and in full training, but we just went on form for the first selection,” Baxter said.
“He’s training well, but like everyone else he’s just got to keep his head down and train well.
“His opportunities will come shortly. He’s not far away; he’s working hard and showing a good attitude in training.

“Don’t forget we’ve got Max Norey as well, who was featuring a lot last season and is back fully fit,” Baxter added.
“We’ve got really good competition around that hooker slot at the moment.”
Exeter face Bath at The Rec on Friday night.
