Fin Smith has been cleared to start at flyhalf for England against the Wallabies at Twickenham on Sunday.
The 24-year-old, who had a calf problem, got through Friday’s final training session before being included in the team named by coach Steve Borthwick.
Borthwick has made four changes to the starting XV that defeated Argentina 31-24 in July, with George Furbank returning at fullback after being ruled out against the Pumas with appendicitis.
It will be Furbank’s first England appearance for two years following a spate of injuries, including a broken arm, concussion and a calf issue.
The other three changes are in the pack, where lock and captain Maro Itoje, flank Ben Curry and loosehead prop Fin Baxter return to the starting lineup.

Borthwick has opted for a six-two split on the bench, with Exeter Chiefs No 8 Greg Fisilau in line to make his Test debut.
“We’re all absolutely delighted for Greg,” said Borthwick. “He’s worked incredibly hard to get to this point and has earned his opportunity through the way he’s performed for Exeter and in our training environment. He’s a powerful, athletic player who brings real energy to the team.”
