Ashlon Davids and Gift Dlamini are set to return from injury off the bench for the Boland Cavaliers in Sunday’s Currie Cup clash against the Vodacom Bulls XV in Wellington.
Flyhalf Davids has recovered from the knee injury that has sidelined him since last season’s Currie Cup semi-final, while loose forward Dlamini is back after suffering a serious leg fracture against Griquas in last year’s competition.
Coach Hawies Fourie has otherwise retained a settled backline, with the experienced halfback pairing of Louis Schreuder and Chris Smit starting together for a fourth consecutive match.
Thurlow Marsh captains the Cavaliers from No 8, flanked by Khwezi Mafu and Sauliegh Arendse in the loose trio.
Veteran lock Marlyn Williams is set to make his 94th appearance for Boland, partnering Jeandré Leonard in the second row. Dayan van der Westhuizen, Joshua Eras and Mthokozisi Gumede form the front row.
Jurick Lewis and Lunathi Nxele continue their established midfield partnership, while Jayden Bantom and Xavier Mitchell start on the wings with James Tedder at fullback.
