Romain Ntamack believes Toulouse’s title-winning momentum can give France a timely boost as they prepare for their Nations Championship campaign.
Fresh from helping Toulouse secure a fourth successive Top 14 title with a 28-20 victory over Montpellier on Saturday, Ntamack will join Les Bleus.
The flyhalf is one of nine players from the Top 14 final who will link up with Fabien Galthié’s squad ahead of Saturday’s tournament opener against the All Blacks.
“I hope our joy from Toulouse will be taken there and we can bring happiness down there,” Ntamack said.
“I don’t doubt that they’re already in good spirits, but I hope we can bring our end-of-season energy to that squad.”

Ntamack and fellow Toulouse stars, including Antoine Dupont, will travel to Australia on Monday, and will miss the opening clash against the All Blacks after their lengthy club campaign.
The 27-year-old is set for his first tour of the southern hemisphere after previous opportunities were ruled out by clashes with the Top 14 schedule.

Having missed much of this season through injury before returning to help Toulouse lift another league title, Ntamack said finishing the campaign with silverware made the journey even more rewarding.
“While I was sidelined I tried to focus on myself and do everything to finish the season like I did,” he said.
“I’m proud because it was a unique season. To finish with the Brennus Shield is the perfect ending.
“What comes this summer is a bonus. I’m really happy to go on tour.”
