Galxboy Founder Gives Perfect 10/10 To Loatinover Pounds’ Sophomore Album “Ground 2 Glory.” Loatinover Pounds’ Ground 2 Glory has earned a strong co-sign from one of Pretoria’s most recognisable names in street culture, with Galxboy founder Thatiso Dube giving the rapper’s sophomore album a perfect score.

Taking to X, Thatiso Dube shared his reaction to the project, simply writing, “Pounds 10/10 ” before adding “O Mpya!!!” The endorsement connects two prominent creative forces from Pretoria’s cultural scene.

While Dube has built Galxboy into a notable South African streetwear brand, Loatinover Pounds has been carving out his own space in hip-hop through Pitori-inspired storytelling, local language and introspective songwriting. Released on 25 September 2026 through Punyete Premier League / MODAR, Ground 2 Glory marks Loatinover Pounds’ second studio album following his 2024 debut, Pray 4 Pitori.

The new project continues to draw from his Pretoria roots while taking a more personal look at the realities that come with ambition and success. Its themes touch on family, spirituality, personal struggles, ambition and the tension between chasing a dream and confronting what comes with achieving it.

The album also brings together an impressive lineup of collaborators. A-Reece features on “Hood Gospels,” while Focalistic joins Loatinover Pounds on “Soweto Derby.” Mochen, Mo Sufi, Khalee G, THE NORTHMOB. and Saint Cielo also contribute across the project, with Saint Cielo appearing on the title track.

Ground 2 Glory made an immediate impact following its release, reaching number one on Apple Music South Africa’s Top Albums chart and delivering the biggest first-day streaming debut of Loatinover Pounds’ career.

Loatinover Pounds first gained wider attention with his 2022 EP Hood Misunderstood, which included the breakout track “Sosh Plata.” Since then, his combination of sharp lyricism, Pitori slang and reflective storytelling has established him as a distinctive voice in South African hip-hop.

The 10/10 rating adds another notable endorsement to the album’s early reception, particularly coming from a fellow Pretoria creative with deep roots in the city’s street culture.
