Jay Jody and Blaklez Announce New Single “Naledi” Ahead Of “Cool&Blak” Album. Jay Jody and Blaklez are officially back in their Cool&Blak era, kicking off the next chapter with new music, a completed album, and the return of their popular Cool&Blak Sundays gatherings.
The duo has announced that their latest single, “Naledi,” featuring the talented Miss Ready at Midnight, will arrive at midnight. The announcement came through a joint post carrying the familiar TR!BE energy and 
emoji combination that fans have come to associate with the pair.
“We’re back and excited to announce that we’re releasing ‘Naledi’ with the extremely talented Miss Ready at Midnight!” the duo shared.
Produced by @prodbyjooniar, who previously worked on their standout track “Gemstones,” the song also received post-production from @chriso1_. The title “Naledi” translates to “star” in both Sesotho and Setswana, adding another layer of meaning to a release that signals the duo’s return to the spotlight.
The single follows a run of Cool&Blak releases that includes “Gemstones,” “Book of Acts” featuring Lia Butler and “The Bill.” Together, those releases have helped establish the duo’s refined approach to hip-hop, built around thoughtful lyricism, polished production and a sound that speaks to a more mature audience.
There is even bigger news for fans waiting on the full project. Jay Jody and Blaklez have confirmed that the long-awaited Cool&Blak album is officially complete. While the release date has not been revealed yet, the duo says an announcement will follow soon.
