Kane Keid Slows Things Down With “Take Time” Featuring Sino Msolo and Ficz. Thembisa rapper and storyteller Kane Keid is embracing a more reflective sound with his latest single, “Take Time,” featuring Sino Msolo and Ficz.
Released on 9 October 2026, the track adds another chapter to the rollout of his upcoming debut album, SON OF SOiL, showcasing a different side of the artist’s evolving musical identity.
Moving away from the rapid-fire delivery associated with some of his earlier releases, Keid takes a more measured approach on “Take Time.” The atmospheric production gives the vocals room to breathe, allowing melody and mood to shape the listening experience. Sino Msolo brings his soulful vocal style to the collaboration, while Ficz adds another melodic layer, complementing Keid’s delivery on a record that favours restraint over intensity.
Kane Keid first announced the single towards the end of September, encouraging fans to secure their pre-saves ahead of its release. The collaboration also brings together artists with an established connection to his musical direction. Ficz previously worked with Keid on “BIG,” while Sino Msolo’s emotive vocals provide a fitting addition to the more introspective sound of “Take Time.”
The release follows closely after the arrival of the official music video for “LELO,” another offering from the SON OF SOiL campaign. Directed by By Some Idiot Studios, the video premiered on Channel O, placing Keid’s Thembisa roots and personal story at the centre of the visual narrative. With “Take Time” arriving shortly afterwards, the rapper continues to build anticipation for his forthcoming album through releases that explore different aspects of his artistry.
Keid has continued to broaden his sound through projects and collaborations that move between sharp lyricism, melodic experimentation and personal storytelling. His Not Famous EP introduced listeners to his gritty approach, while songs such as “Brown Sugar” featuring Xowié and the NOTE2SELF project highlighted his willingness to explore more melodic and intimate territory. “Take Time” builds on that progression, allowing atmosphere and vocal expression to take the lead.
With “Take Time” now available on streaming platforms, Keid offers listeners another glimpse into the creative direction of SON OF SOiL. The single stands on its own while adding to the growing picture of an artist continuing to explore his range, one release at a time.
