Moozlie Marks 14-Year Career Milestone With “BIG 3 FREESTYLE”. Rapper and television personality Nomuzi “Moozlie” Mabena is marking 14 years in the entertainment industry with gratitude, faith and new music. The multi-talented star has released “BIG 3 FREESTYLE” to commemorate her journey and thank the supporters who have stood by her throughout her career.
Taking to Instagram, the Benoni-born entertainer reflected on the milestone with a message celebrating God’s grace and looking ahead to what is still to come. “Today we celebrate 14 Years in the game
And Still… By God’s abundant grace… The best is yet to come
,” she wrote.
The anniversary release comes in the form of “BIG 3 FREESTYLE,” a confident showcase of Moozlie’s lyrical ability and enduring presence in South African hip-hop. Produced by Funk Tone and shot by Maverick Seizure, the accompanying visual adds a stylish touch to a release that acknowledges her supporters while keeping her focus firmly on the future.
Moozlie’s rise to prominence began on 20 October 2012, when she won the MTV Base VJ Search. The victory opened the door to a career spanning television and music, with the presenter going on to feature on platforms including MTV Base, Vuzu and Channel O.
Beyond television, she continued building her identity as a recording artist and entrepreneur. She established her own imprint, Nomuzi Mabena Music, and expanded her catalogue with the Versus mixtape in 2017, followed by the albums Victory in 2018 and Spirit of an OG in 2020. Her work has also extended into songwriting, styling and performance, demonstrating her versatility across different areas of entertainment.
Now 14 years into her career, Moozlie is using “BIG 3 FREESTYLE” to acknowledge how far she has come without treating the milestone as a finish line. Her message makes it clear that she remains grateful for the journey while maintaining her ambition to achieve more.
For an artist who first captured national attention through a television talent search, the anniversary represents more than a celebration of longevity. It also highlights her continued commitment to music, creativity and growth.
With Moozlie declaring that the best is yet to come, “BIG 3 FREESTYLE” serves as both a thank-you to her supporters and a statement of intent for the next chapter of her career.
