Munster star ruled out of Bulls clash

Munster will travel to South Africa for their Vodacom URC quarter-final against the Bulls without a key player.

Ireland flyhalf Jack Crowley has been ruled out of Saturday’s clash at Loftus Versfeld after failing to recover from a leg injury.

Crowley has not played since Munster’s victory over Benetton in April, with veteran JJ Hanrahan filling in at flyhalf during his absence.

Munster had hoped the 25-year-old would recover in time for the playoffs after increasing his training load in recent weeks, but the Irish province confirmed he is unavailable for selection for the trip to Pretoria.
