During a recent interview with Durban Culture, the rapper was asked whether he believed a stadium show at the iconic venue was achievable in the near future. Nasty C did not hesitate to express his interest, making it clear that he would be ready to turn the idea into reality with the necessary financial backing.

“Keen to do it. Yes, I’m definitely 1,000% keen to do it,” he said.

The rapper, whose real name is Nsikayesihle Ngcobo, explained that sponsorship could play a major role in bringing the ambitious concert to life, potentially as soon as 2027.

“Yeah, if some brands, like some sponsors, you know, popped out and said they wanted to support it, I would do it as soon as, like, next year. You’d be able to do it. I would love it. Yeah, I’d do it. Yeah, that would be the best moment ever for me,” he added.

A concert at Moses Mabhida Stadium would be a significant milestone for the Durban-born star, who has built a formidable reputation in South African hip-hop through his music, major collaborations and growing international presence. Bringing his catalogue to one of his hometown’s most recognisable landmarks would also offer an opportunity to celebrate his journey with the city that shaped him.

Moses Mabhida Stadium is among Durban’s most prominent venues, known for its striking architectural design and its ability to accommodate large crowds. A headline show by Nasty C would place South African hip-hop at the centre of a major stadium event, with the potential to draw supporters from across the country and beyond.

However, the prospect remains at the discussion stage. Nasty C has not announced an official date, and his comments suggest that securing sponsors would be an important step towards making the concert possible.

For now, the rapper’s enthusiasm has put the idea firmly on the table. If the necessary backing comes through, Durban could see Nasty C take on one of its biggest stages as early as next year.
