Rassie reveals initial Ox injury prognosis

Rassie Erasmus has provided an update on Springbok prop Ox Nché’s knee injury.

The 30-year-old hobbled off in the eighth minute of the Boks’ 45-21 win against England at Ellis Park on Saturday, shortly after making a memorable run that resulted in winger Cheslin Kolbe’s try.

“I think it’s fairly bad,” Erasmus said, adding scans would confirm the extent of the damage ahead of next Saturday’s clash against Scotland at Loftus Versfeld.

There are doubts, too, over hybrid André Esterhuizen, who left the field after a 10-minute stint as a replacement following a head knock.

Captain Siya Kolisi, who was a late withdrawal from the team on Saturday, will have a scan on his injured hamstring on Sunday.
