Springbok coach Rassie Erasmus has returned to his policy of naming his team early in the week.
The Bok match 23 for Saturday’s second Test against the All Blacks in Cape Town will be announced at 11:45am on Monday.
Erasmus waited until Thursday to name his team for the first Test at Ellis Park.
“It is the respect for New Zealand and knowing how tough this one is going to be,’ he explained. ‘The less time they have to prepare for our team, the better. It’s not an arrogant thing. It’s a respect thing.”
Erasmus is expected to make several changes to the side that suffered a 33-16 defeat at Ellis Park.
Meanwhile, the All Blacks have named their team to take on the Lions at Ellis Park on Tuesday night, with flyhalf Richie Mo’unga making his return.
