Rugby mourns member of the Pride

Tributes have poured in for South African lock Hyron Andrews, who died on Friday in France at the age of 31.

He passed away on the eve of the Lions’ Investec Champions Cup clash against La Rochelle.

Andrews joined the Pride from the Sale Sharks ahead of this season and appeared in all three of their URC matches.

He previously represented the Durban-based Sharks from 2015 to 2024, and made two appearances for the Junior Springboks in 2015.
