Former Stormers forward Alex Groves has been included in a 30-man squad for the Scarlets’ two-match URC tour of South Africa.
The 25-year-old lock joined the Scarlets on a permanent basis this season after having a loan spell with the Welsh club last term.
Prior to a week’s break in the URC, he featured in all three league matches for Dwayne Peel’s men as well as Saturday’s 47-14 EPCR Challenge Cup win over the Newcastle Red Bulls.
Born and raised in Johannesburg, Groves attended St John’s College and he was selected to represent the Lions at age-group level.

The Scarlets have added new signing Tom Allen to their touring squad, while prop Corey Domachowski has recovered from a chest injury ahead of their matches in the Republic.
Lock Allen joined the team over the weekend after completing his provincial campaign with Hawke’s Bay in New Zealand.
Young back Isaac Murray-Macgregor is also in contention to make his URC debut for the Scarlets.
However, Wales internationals Ryan Elias, Sam Costelow, Eddie James, Ellis Mee and Blair Murray will remain at home for a scheduled recovery period following their international duties and the opening weeks of the season.
The Scarlets will face the Stormers in Cape Town on Saturday, before taking on the Bulls at Loftus Versfeld next week.
