Former Sharks centre Jeremy Ward scored a second-half try as Stade Français beat Lyon 31-10 at the Stade Jean-Bouin. Janse Roux and former Lions halfback Sanele Nohamba came off the bench for the visitors.

Former Sharks and Ulster wing Werner Kok started for the Newcastle Red Bulls in a 59-26 defeat to the Northampton Saints at Franklin’s Gardens, crossing for a late consolation try.
No 8 Dan du Preez scored a try as coach Johann van Graan’s Bath beat Harlequins 33-17, with centre Bernard van der Linde also featuring for the visitors off the bench. Tyrone Green started at fullback for Quins.
Lock Ernst van Rhyn and No 8 Jacques Vermeulen started as the Sale Sharks went down 34-24 to the Bristol Bears.
Hooker Corbin Thunder came off the bench in the Leicester Tigers’ 40-38 defeat to coach Brendan Venter’s Saracens.
Prop Dian Bleuler and Bok lock Jean Kleyn scrummed down for Gloucester in a 45-25 away win against the Exeter Chiefs, with prop Ethan Burger starting in the front row for the home side.
