Affies were too strong for Maritzburg College in Pietermaritzburg on Saturday. while Stellenberg extended their unbeaten home run to nine matches.
The Wit Bulle were largely in control at Goldstone’s, leading 12-5 after loosehead prop Francois de Beer crossed just before half-time.
Captain Martin van Niekerk drove over early in the second half and the visitors did not look back, running in six tries in all to secure a 40-12 win.
Elsewhere in KwaZulu-Natal, Northwood hammered Glenwood 82-23 while DHS and Jeppe drew 21-21.
In Cape Town, Stellenberg needed a strong finish to edge Outeniqua 26-21. Flyhalf Ethan van Biljon was influential throughout, contributing 11 points and producing several crucial defensive interventions.
Outeniqua took the lead for the first time when lock Franco Pienaar rolled over from a maul to make it 21-19, but inside centre Daniel Mongie broke the line with a powerful carry to put Stellenberg back in front.
Elsewhere in the Western Cape, Paul Roos scored in the final play to deny SACS a famous win. The visitors triumphed 38-34 with flyhalf Jake Dave contributing 24 points.
Wynberg beat Boland Landbou 42-26 on the Hawthornden Field, Paarl Boys’ hammered Durbanville 56-7, Paarl Gim outplayed Rondebosch 52-24 and Drostdy defeated Oakdale 31-24 in Worcester.
In the Eastern Cape, Grey High came from behind to beat Framesby 35-28, Kingswood thrashed Stirling 70-7, Graeme pummelled Pearson 61-24 and Dale hammered Ooskus Gimnasium 55-19.
In the Central Region, Grey College humiliated London school Harrow 95-0, Diamantveld dominated Goudveld 73-0 and Hoërskool Trio beat Sentraal 40-26.
In Gauteng’s Noodvaal Cup, Monument boosted their playoff chances with a 68-42 win over Middelburg, while Waterkloof beat EG Jansen 34-24 and Menlopark edged Noordheuwel 45-42.
