The Stormers have sent two key players home ahead of Friday night’s URC round-two clash in Scotland.
Speaking during a teleconference from Galway on Monday, forwards coach Rito Hlungwani revealed that loose forwards Evan Roos and Marcel Theunissen were back in Cape Town seeing specialists after sustaining injuries in training last week.
Roos (hamstring) and Theunissen (calf) were both late withdrawals for last week’s bonus-point win over Connacht.

Hlungwani could not yet say how long either player would be sidelined.
Meanwhile, loosehead prop Ntuthuko Mchunu linked up with the squad over the weekend.
Hlungwani said it “would be nice” to have both Mchunu and fellow Springbok Ben-Jason Dixon, who has been travelling with the squad but troubled by concussion symptoms, available to face Edinburgh at Hive Stadium this week.
