Tasha HendrixX Celebrates “StrobeLights” Spotify Milestone Nearly A Year After Mixtape Release. Tasha HendrixX is celebrating the continued success of “StrobeLights”, her collaboration with ZuluMecca, as the track gains renewed attention following the release of its official music video.
The song, which features on her 2025 mixtape Against All Odds, is reaching another milestone as listeners revisit the collaboration on streaming platforms.
The Pretoria-born rapper shared the achievement on social media, revealing that the track had surpassed 10,000 streams on Spotify. She thanked listeners for their support while directing fans to the full music video on YouTube. “Thank you for 10K streams on Spotify,” she wrote, before asking fans whether they enjoyed the collaboration as much as she did.
Released on 7 October 2025, “StrobeLights” appears as the ninth track on the 11-song Against All Odds mixtape. Executive-produced by Tasha HendrixX’s husband and frequent collaborator PdotO, the project showcased her versatility and hands-on approach to music creation. She recorded, mixed and mastered the entire body of work herself. Produced by @beatsbyshxne, “StrobeLights” pairs HendrixX’s distinctive delivery with ZuluMecca’s commanding verse.
The collaboration received its visual treatment in September 2026, nearly a year after the audio release. HendrixX, who is also a qualified audio engineer and professional video editor, edited the music video herself. PdotO took charge of directing, while @sir_midnight_00 handled cinematography. The visuals also feature appearances from Spike Adam Lyf, Katlego The Don and Linda.
The partnership had already received recognition from ZuluMecca following the mixtape’s release. In an Instagram Stories post, she expressed appreciation to HendrixX for the opportunity, referring to her as “Queen”. The collaboration brought together HendrixX’s versatility as a rapper and singer with ZuluMecca, also known as Mandisa Nduna, whose creative work spans music, poetry and acting.
The streaming milestone highlights the continued reach of an independent release nearly a year after its debut. With the official music video now available on YouTube, “StrobeLights” has another opportunity to connect with audiences and introduce the collaboration to new listeners as Against All Odds approaches its first anniversary.
HendrixX has also invited fans to share their thoughts on the song, asking whether they enjoyed the collaboration as much as she did. With the latest milestone and the official visuals available, “StrobeLights” continues to draw attention to the creative partnership between the two South African artists.
