Toss Sets Lofty Goals For Joint EP With Nadia Nakai “Do’s & Don’ts.” Amapiano star Toss has set his sights high for his joint EP with Nadia Nakai, predicting that the project could reach double or even triple platinum status while becoming a classic within the next two years.
The rapper shared his expectations during a recent interview after being asked what he hopes the project will achieve over the next two years.
“In this EP? Yeah. I expect it to be probably double, double or triple platinum by then. Yeah. Expect people to really resonate with it, and I expect it to be a classic by then. Yeah,” Toss said.
Titled Do’s & Don’ts, the six-track project brings together Toss’s amapiano sound and Nadia Nakai’s hip-hop influence. Released on 18 September 2026, the EP explores different sides of relationships, touching on attraction, loyalty, conflict, heartbreak and the expectations that come with romantic connections.
The project features Nkosazana Daughter on “Blind”, a song Toss has linked to the first time he met Nakai. Other contributions come from artists including Sino Msolo and Sizwe Alakine, adding further variety to the collaborative release.
Beyond the music, the project has attracted attention because of the public dynamic between Toss and Nakai. Their appearances together and the chemistry surrounding their collaboration have prompted ongoing speculation among fans, while both artists have continued to direct attention towards the music.
Toss has previously described Do’s & Don’ts as a story about two people from different worlds who ultimately share similar goals when it comes to relationships. Nakai, meanwhile, has spoken about communication, honesty and loyalty as important elements in building a relationship.
For Toss, the ambitious projection comes after his rise from the viral success of “uMlando” in 2022. The Tsakane-born artist has since continued to build his profile within the amapiano scene while publicly expressing aspirations of reaching an international audience.
His collaboration with the late rapper Nadia Nakai’s established catalogue and hip-hop legacy also places Do’s & Don’ts at an interesting intersection between amapiano and South African hip-hop.
Whether the EP reaches the double or triple platinum milestone Toss has predicted will ultimately depend on its performance over time. For now, the artist has made his expectations clear: he wants Do’s & Don’ts to resonate with listeners and remain relevant long after its release.
