Super Rugby outfit Moana Pasifika took a leaf out of Rassie Erasmus and the Springboks’ playbook, and it worked a treat – check it out!
The hosts launched an open-field lineout off a quick tap inside the Blues’ 22, driving hooker Millennium Sanerivi over for the opener at North Harbour Stadium on Saturday.
The move traces its origins to a Paul Roos U14 team before Erasmus weaponised it with the world-champion Boks against Italy last July.
The Blues, stung by poor early discipline, eventually ran out 45-19 winners in the round 12 clash.
