Rush-Awa and Loatinover Pounds Finally Release Long-Awaited Single “Ntshepe.” Pretoria is making noise again, and this time the streets have a new anthem to rally around.

Rush-Awa, the powerhouse production duo of MashBeatz and DJ Sliqe, have officially released “Ntshepe” with Pretoria rapper Loatinover Pounds. The highly anticipated collaboration landed on Friday, 28 August 2026, giving fans the full version of a track that has been building serious momentum for months.
“Ntshepe” first caught listeners’ attention as the opening track on The Mxr 8, the latest instalment in MashBeatz and Sliqe’s acclaimed mix series. Its appearance on the project quickly turned into a case of fans wanting more, with listeners repeatedly calling for the song to receive an official standalone release.
That wait is now over.
Loatinover Pounds began ramping up anticipation earlier this week when he shared the release date on social media, writing, “NTSHEPE
dropping this Friday, 28.08.2026… areyeng ke game!” while tagging Rush-Awa, MashBeatz and Sliqe. The producers soon joined the rollout, teasing the artwork and confirming that the track would arrive at midnight.
Now available across major streaming platforms, the full-length version brings even more weight to a collaboration that was already turning heads in its earlier form.
“Ntshepe” carries the unmistakable energy of Pretoria. The production blends street-ready bounce with MashBeatz and Sliqe’s polished sonic approach, creating plenty of room for Loatinover Pounds to deliver his sharp, vernacular-driven bars.
The rapper has built much of his identity around music that feels deeply connected to Pitori culture, from the impact of “Sosh Plata” to the world established through Pray 4 Pitori. His rise from Mabopane and the success of Hood Misunderstood have positioned him as one of the voices keeping Pretoria’s hip-hop identity firmly in the conversation.
The collaboration gets even bigger with additional appearances from Sjava and Cassper Nyovest, adding further star power to a track that was already generating plenty of anticipation.
For Rush-Awa, “Ntshepe” is another example of the duo’s ability to turn production into a cultural moment. Following tracks such as “Lapisa,” MashBeatz and Sliqe continue to demonstrate their knack for pairing hard-hitting sounds with artists who bring a distinct identity to the music.
For Loatinover Pounds, meanwhile, the release adds another major chapter to a run that continues to gather momentum.
With “Ntshepe” now officially out, the track has moved from being a fan favourite buried inside a mix to a full-fledged release ready to take over playlists, speakers and timelines.
Pretoria has been waiting. Now it is time to press play.
