The Ospreys have bolstered their backline with the signing of a former Wallabies winger for the upcoming Vodacom URC season.
Marika Koroibete joins the Swansea-based side after five seasons with the Panasonic Wild Knights in Japan and becomes the club’s fourth Australian off-season signing. Liam Wright, Lalakai Foketi and Lawson Creighton are the other Aussies brought into the squad.
Koroibete represented the Wallabies in 63 Tests, with his final appearance coming against the All Blacks in September 2024. He scored 20 tries for the Wallabies and featured at the 2019 and 2023 World Cups.

The powerful winger said he was delighted to make the move to the Ospreys.
“I’ve heard some great things from the boys here already about the team and the environment, so I can’t wait to get started,” Koroibete said.
“It’s a real privilege to be joining this club and to be following in the footsteps of some greats of the game.”
Koroibete also hopes to use his experience to help develop the Ospreys’ younger players.
“There are some young, high-potential players in this squad and if I can play a part in helping them to reach the next level of their game, then that is something I will take pride in doing,” he said.

Ospreys head coach Mark Jones believes Koroibete’s arrival will provide a major boost to the squad.
“I think I speak for everyone involved with the club when I say how happy we are to have added such an explosive talent to our squad,” Jones said.
“I think it says a lot about the club that we are still able to attract overseas players of his calibre. This is a signing that we believe will get our supporters up out of their seats.”
