British & Irish Lions stars Duhan van der Merwe and Pierre Schoeman are among the four SA-born Scotland internationals named in a 37-man squad.
Gregor Townsend has named a formidable group for the remainder of the Nations Championship. The Scots host New Zealand at Murrayfield on 7 November, before tackling Australia and Japan over the following two weekends in the build-up to the finals weekend in London.
The squad features 21 forwards and 16 backs, with uncapped back-row forward Ollie Leatherbarrow also included.
Van der Merwe and Kyle Steyn provide options in the back three, while Schoeman and Nathan McBeth have been selected among the loosehead props.

Van der Merwe, who plays for Edinburgh, has earned 54 Test caps for adoptive country. Glasgow Warriors centre Steyn has made 35 appearances.
Schoeman, also based at Edinburgh, has 52 caps, while Glasgow Warriors prop McBeth has eight.
Captain Sione Tuipulotu leads the squad, which includes experienced flyhalf Finn Russell and fullback Blair Kinghorn.
Leatherbarrow is the only uncapped player in the group. The Newcastle Red Bulls forward qualifies for Scotland through his grandmother, who is from Perth, and has represented the country at age-group levels.
Scotland’s three home fixtures will determine their position heading into the Nations Championship finale at Twickenham on 28 and 29 November.
